Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge is set to launch in 60 markets across the globe on March 11th with more to follow in the coming weeks.

This news comes by way of Ars Technica, which says that the Korean tech giant announced the offer at Mobile World Congress.
“By doing this, we’ve quadrupled the resolution quality of 360 streaming video in VR by reducing the amount of required network bandwidth by 4x – so videos look clearer and play faster”.
Water resistance: The phones can be submereged in five feet of water for up to 30 minutes, according to Samsung.
The camera in the S7 Edge is the same as in the regular S7, so takes the same dip in megapixels from 16MP to 12MP, but there’s much more to it than that. Among the list of intriguing features and details, both will have the capacity for expandable MicroSD storage, a relief to consumers who missed that feature in the Galaxy S6. All of these cases, except the Evo Frame, are available for the Galaxy S7 and the Evo Wallet and Evo Frame are available for the Galaxy S7 Edge.
GSM Arena reports that the Samsung Galaxy S7 will sport a 5.1-inch super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen. The new phones come with 4GB LPDDR54 RAM. Also, the phones are powered by two variants of processors: Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 quad core formed from a dual-core 2.15 GHz and dual-core 1.6 GHz CPU and Exynos 8890 Octa core consisting of a quad-core 2.3 GHz and quad-core 1.6 GHz CPU.
The smartphones have an enhanced Galaxy experience in VR apps and games.
The devices are protected by Samsung KNOX, fingerprint scanning and advanced tokenization and have NFC (Near Field Communication), MST (Magnetic Secure Transmission) and Barcode technology, making mobile payments easy.
Samsung has gone all out with the new phones. Some operators could include a free Gear VR headset with the S7, the company said without elaborating.
