He then posed for photos and greeted people who had lined up to meet him after they had cast their ballots. “We’re the most loyal people“.
John Kasich earned 4 percent of the Hispanic vote, while retired neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson received 3 percent.
Trump won his third straight victory regardless of his usual train of unflattering remarks and liberal positions.
The 69-year-old celebrity builder, who announced his White House bid from the bottom of a gold escalator in NY in June, adds Nevada to previous victories in New Hampshire and SC. He came in second in Iowa. Of the 1,573 Republican voters polled in Nevada, only 125 identified as Latino, which is a very small sample size.
The site also reports 8 percent of Republican voters were Hispanic.
Mr Cruz in particular faced growing questions about the viability of his campaign after third-place finishes in the last three states.
