HBO Releases New Posters for ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6

In another teaser released called “Hall of Faces”, the faces of the most important characters who have died are shown off, including the face of Jon Snow. Could this season get any more foreboding? In addition to band trailers already available, HBO has revealed a “Hall of Faces”, a series of posters unveiling the portraits of the main characters, expected April 24, 2016. Whether or not he is coming back to the show (he is), this is a neat way for HBO and Game of Thrones to continue to use Kit Harington’s face in their marketing campaigns. Homage or explicit announcement of his return? Will all the pictured characters be dead by the end of Season 6? And they are right.

The posters include faces of Jon Snow, Tyrion Lannister, Cersei Lannister, Sansa Stark, Daenerys Targaryen, Jaime Lannister and several others.

In the past, Game of Thrones has stuck to the source material fairly closely, but season six will shake things up in a major way by adapting material which Martin has not yet published.

Even with all this mystery, HBO has made some promotional ads that for some viewers have a few indications about what we can expect for the sixth season.

As well as Jon, the broadcaster has so far also released images of departed characters Oberyn Martell (Pedro Pascal) and Robert Baratheon (Mark Addy).

As we wait for the new season of Game of Thrones to begin, there’s one question on everyone’s lips.
