Tiegs, who was on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue three times in the ’70s and ’80s, wasn’t onboard with a curvy siren like Grahambeing promoted on the 2016 edition.

The magazine chose Ronda Rousey, Ashley Graham and Hailey Clauson as cover girls for three versions of the issue. “There is no reason to hide and every reason to flaunt”.

Brown/Getty Images Legendary supermodal Cheryl Tiegs called out plus-sized models like Ashley Graham for not being healthy. “That’s what Dr. Oz said, and I’m sticking to it”, Tiegs says, a former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover model herself.

She explained of the gold swimsuit campaign that was featured in the pages of the famous swimsuit edition of the United States magazine: “I didn’t get this bikini given to me until I was on the beach in Puerto Rico. But I don’t think it’s healthy in the long run”.

A passionate Nicola told Phil and Holly how happy she was that women were now being appreciated for more than just a size zero figure. “You’ll never be an editorial model, ‘” she revealed to us.

Aside from her Sports Illustrated cover, Ashley is gearing up to launch her first swimwear line with Swimsuitsforall, which will be available in May. She says she believes that Sports Illustrated is bridging the gap and allowing women of all sizes and color which is very important. Ashley said that in America sizing has gotten frightening with the clothing manufacturers rolling out not only a size zero but a double zero size. “It’s a little scary on both spectrums of weight”, she told the host.

While Graham isn’t fond of the term “plus size,” she’s thrilled to be considered a positive role model for other women. “I am hopefully going to change the lives of so many different young women”, she said to us.
