It happens just once every four years, so Leap Day, February 29, 2016, is bringing some special deals to the Charlotte area.

Free pizza at Pizza Hut – People born on February 29 will get a free personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut.

While you can only receive one free entrée per day, this gives Leap Day babies the opportunity to get 29 days of free entrees.

Olive Garden: Leap Day Babies get four free Dolcini, a dessert layered with cake, mousse, pastry creams and berries. The restaurant is also offering a 20% off your bill coupon if you go to their website and them your email address.

Chick-fil-A Short Pump Crossing: Limit one per customer, 29¢ Leap Day milkshakes from 11 a.m.to 7 p.m.

The fast-food chain will offer a vegetarian menu – which is just regular menu items without meat – for February 29 only. But before you skip the salad at your desk, be warned that the lineup consists primarily of its classic sandwiches minus the meat.
