Paul Ryan Rebukes Donald Trump Over David Duke Endorsement

Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) told CNN’sState of the Union with Jake Tapper” on Sunday that GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump’s response on whether he would disavow support of David Duke and the Ku Klux Klan is not an acceptable answer.

The moment came Sunday during a CNN segment whether he would disavow Duke and other white supremacist groups that are supporting his campaign.

Trump in an interview on NBC’s “Today Show” Monday said he has never met white supremacist Duke, who voiced backing for Trump on his radio program recently and praised him for “taking on the Jewish establishment”. “If I see episodes where conservatism is being disfigured, if I see comments that mislead the people as to who we are as Republicans, I’m going to speak out on those”, said Ryan. Which, if the polls are correct, means that Trump could very well secure the Republican nomination. “What I heard was “various groups.’ And I don’t mind disavowing anybody and I disavowed David Duke“.

The current GOP frontrunner for president, Donald Trump, is facing some outrage and criticism after a series of freaky events, including a refusal to reject the endorsement from David Duke, a known leader of the KKK. “This is not company I wish to keep”. I disavowed him on Friday. As far back as 2000, Trump had some choice words for Duke when he discussed the former Klansman joining the Reform Party.

“I like his position on securing the borders and I just belief that Cruz and the other guy, Rubio, are really traitors to the Republican Party conservative principles”, Duke said. (Answer: When the person you’re quoting is a fascist, it makes a difference.) Every day it is less surprising that Trump does best in the areas of the country with the most racist Google searches. “And I have no problem with disavowing groups but I’d at least like to know who they are”.

As for Trump’s explanation as to why he hesitated during the CNN interview, the Republican candidate blamed a lousy earpiece provided by the network. “But I think we now know all we need to know about Mr. Trump to render our personal opinion of his candidacy”.

Trump said yesterday he had a “lousy earpiece” during the interview and had trouble hearing the questions.
