Chelsea Handler Reveals Details, Premiere Date for Netflix Talk Show

March 16 21:00 2016

“You wanted a new show, you got it. You wanted to be on Netflix, you are”.

Handler is asking fans for help in picking a title and will announce her decision during a live press conference Thursday at 9 a.m. PT. This will be the first talk show Netflix has ever done and the show will have a “loose format”.

The comedian on Wednesday posted a hand-written announcement to her social media accounts, revealing a May 11 premiere date for her show; 30-minute episodes will roll out every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

So far, Chelsea Handler hasn’t interviewed anyone as high profile as the Pope or Michelle Obama, but she has sat down with Morgan Spurlock, award-winning documentary filmmaker at the Sundance Film Festival.

She also expressed that she isn’t very interested in steady relationships right now, and that she’s not dating anyone currently, despite rumors that she and Bobby Flay had become an item.

The half-hour episodes will take Handler all over the world, according to the “release”, but the exact topics she will cover are not yet known.

Handler herself revealed the news in a handwritten memo to herself that’s partly that, partly press release and all of it amusing.

Of course, we will update you when we find out what Handler’s talk show will be called when we know! It’s Me, Chelsea which latter served as inspiration for a short-lived NBC comedy series.

This will be Handler’s first talk show since she left her E! show in August 2014 after hosting the show for seven years.
