His hometown of Minneapolis also is preparing a final send-off.

President Barack Obama, who invited Prince to play a private White House show past year, let slip that he played some of his records Friday morning at the United States ambassador’s residence in London, where he is staying.

The film brought in more than $80 million in box office receipts. Its soundtrack went on to sell more than 25 million copies.

The legendary rocker died Thursday at 57. “To us, he’s a community member and a good neighbor”, Olson said.

His body has now been released to his family but a cause of death may not be made public for weeks.

When asked about the possibility of foul play, Olson said that was still being looked into. Minnesota lawmakers gave police agencies the right to carry it since they are often first responders. He was later pronounced dead. At a bar next to First Avenue, which held an all-night dance party to commemorate Prince’s life, TVs were tuned into music video medleys.

“I can tell you this: What I know is that he was perfectly healthy”, Prince’s cousin, Chazz Smith, told the AP.

Prince, who traveled the world and attained global superstardom during his 40-year musical career, had always stayed close to home in Minnesota.

Olson told media he and other officers have naloxone, which counteracts the effect of an opiate overdose, but he said it was not used at all Thursday.

Prince is said to have enough unreleased songs to make a new album every year for the next century; but in the wake of the singer’s death, fans are questioning if it’s music they will ever be allowed to hear.

“The information we have for now is he was last seen at 8 p.m. on Wednesday night”, Sheriff Olson told reporters. She says he kept doing it because he loved it. She said she never saw Prince take drugs or drink during her time there. She says she tried to copy what he did to stay fit. “Gathering the results will take several days and the results of a full toxicology scan could likely take weeks”, the medical examiner’s office said. DJ Soul Sister will host Friday night’s screening.

The medical examiner’s report will include Prince’s medical history, his social history and that of his family. Litman is executive producer for concerts at the theatre.

Musician Prince performs onstage at the 36th Annual NAACP Image Awards at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion on March 19, 2005 in Los Angeles, California. “He could shoot for two days straight”, McElhatton said Friday.

The office received a medical call at 9:43am and responded with fire, sheriff and ambulance, standard operating procedure according to the Sheriff.

He said it was “still under investigation” whether foul play was involved.

There were no obvious signs of trauma to his body or anything that would imply his death was a suicide, Carver County Sheriff Jim Olson said Friday.
