Schools across the country have today been evacuated after a series of bomb threats were reportedly made.

Police in Portsmouth said there’s a strong likelihood the threat is non-credible, but scanned the building after evacuating students. A few hours later, the West Des Moines School District evacuated Valley High School for a similar threat.

A post on the school’s Facebook page says: “You may be aware of police presence at school”.

9NEWS is making various calls to several different school districts to see who all received the anonymous threat. “The children remained outside for approximately 30 minutes whilst we followed the instructions of the police”.

Kent Police was called at 10.19am after a report of an anonymous threatening phone call.

In Wisconsin, threats were received Monday at schools in Green Bay, Appleton, and Port Washington; and at schools near Madison, Oshkosh and Kenosha. She said she’s also very angry.

According to Marion Police, students were moved to Lowe Park for safety per the Linn Mar Superintendent.

“As per their school policy, Charlestown Primary evacuated pupils for a short while as precautionary searches took place”.

Ms Fripp added: All children are safe and are at Glenwood School receiving refreshments. That school was evacuated as a precaution.

Police cars were outside the building around noon and parents were told no one was inside the building.

Release with Care: Defined as a possible threat in the schools’ neighborhoods during arrival and release time. We will update as soon as we know more.

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation was monitoring Twitter accounts regarding the bomb threats.
