Pakistan win toss, send West Indies in to bat first

Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed has won the toss and chose to bowl in the first T20 worldwide against West Indies in Dubai.

West Indies’ bid of reviving the faltering innings were dealt a further blow when Wasim clean bowled Kieron Pollard (9) and had captain Carlos Brathwaite caught by Khalid Latif for a duck. They recently won the world Cup held in India and are coming on the back of defeating the India in two matches t20 series, which they won by 1-0.

IN SPITE of a less than ideal build-up to their series against Pakistan in Dubai, the West Indies players appear to be motivated and geared up for what they expect will be a hard-fought three-match T20 contest.

Brathwaite will now captain the side in UAE while towering former fast bowler Joel “Big Bird” Garner replaced Simmons, who repeatedly clashed with the West Indies board.

The Windies will rely heavily on their T20 specialist spinners Samuel Badree and Sunil Narine, who shared five wickets to spark a 22-run win in a warm-up game on Tuesday. On the other hand, Pakistan team had change in guard as well and Sarfraz Ahmed-led Pakistan to victory in one-off T20 against England.
