“Now, do I have strong differences of opinion with Hillary Clinton?”.
Pence told MSNBC in an interview Tuesday that the younger Trump was simply using a “metaphor”.
Eight years later, the conventional wisdom is that Clinton is a much better candidate.
And we need to hear an apology from Donald Trump, not one of his surrogates.
Clinton referenced the importance of continuing the LGBT rights advancements seen under the Obama administration during a speech Monday meant to rally Millennials at Temple University. I think it would be an absolute disaster. O’Reilly agreed, saying “I worked with him at Channel 2 in NY, and I think he’s a fair guy”.
Others have piled on with less reticence. “What’s the cure for an unhealthy penchant for privacy that repeatedly creates unnecessary problems?”
Hoping to calm some supporters’ concerns, Clinton’s campaign sent out a memo Monday, reminding them that the electoral map favors Democrats. This presidential race was always going to be close.
Clinton has no public events scheduled Tuesday.
Clinton (51 percent) leads Trump (30 percent) in a four-way race in NY with Libertarian Gary Johnson (8 percent) and Green Party candidate Jill Stein (3 percent), according to the Siena poll of likely voters. “Our message is clear: Hillary Clinton has the experience and steadiness to bring people together and get real results-Donald Trump is temperamentally unfit and unqualified to be president”, wrote Mook.
In truth, the polls are doing exactly what campaign strategists on both sides expected: narrowing as Election Day nears. According to the poll, 56 percent of respondents said they had an unfavorable opinion of Trump, compared to 49 percent who had an unfavorable opinion of Clinton.
The dip in support among Millennials should make Clinton nervous as the presidential nominee for a party that relies on youth to win at the polls.
Clinton has been running ads against Trump that largely rely on the Republican nominee’s own words disparaging various groups of people, including women, and has fundraised off his claim she is only competitive in the election because she has “played the woman card”. Betting odds have also improved for Mr. Trump. That shouldn’t sound like an innovation, but this year, it is.
The New York Times reported that Mrs. Clinton’s advisers are talking to the ghostwriter of Mr. Trump’s book “The Art of the Deal” to seek insights about the candidate’s deepest insecurities, in an effort to needle him to get an inappropriate reaction.
Clinton plans to shift the topic back to the economy during a speech in Orlando on Wednesday. In theory, Clinton should have the advantage. Her poll numbers are falling, and she knows it. Many news stories ignored her response. Bernie Sanders, Sen. Elizabeth Warren and the Obamas will all hit the campaign trail for Clinton this month.
The Monmouth University Poll shows her with the support of 46 percent of likely voters.
“We must stop the flow of refugees that Hillary Clinton wants to increase”, said Trump. The last Republican to win the White House without Florida was in 1924. “I don’t see any evidence of that”.
Her debate last fall against four Democratic primary opponents was seen as an outright win for the secretary of state because of the way she handled prickly questions, including about whether she is progressive enough for the current bent of the Democratic Party.
