Pakistani actors are artistes, not terrorists: Salman Khan

Reacting to India’s “surgical strikes”, Khan said, “If they were terrorists, it was proper action taken”, but questioned Pakistani artistes being banned and asked to leave India. TV host-actress Mini Mathur echoed Kangana’s views, saying, “The IMPPA ban on Pakistani actors would have made sense only if it hurt the interests of the Pakistani establishment that sponsors cross-border terrorism. But, when we are talking about those who are here on valid visas for either work goal or medical treatment, it is our duty to welcome them with open arms”. Following the attack, Mumbai-based political party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena immediately asked for Pakistani talent now working in India to leave the country.

The Indian Motion Picture Producers Association on Thursday passed a resolution to ban Pakistani artists and technicians from the Hindi film industry.

“They are artistes. What do you think”.

MNS is against these movies to get released if it shows Pakistani Artist in any way. I think we should ban the films featuring those Indians who have been very vocal against Pakistan … like Anupam Kher.

While BJP’s official spokesperson Shaina NC has categorically told this writer that there will be a marked shift in India’s attitude towards Pakistani artistes, the outspokenShatrughan Sinha opts for the diplomatic route in the matter.

“If there’s any ongoing project from which [Pakistani artistes] cannot be removed now, on which everything has been done, they can come for that”, Aggarwal also said. The recent development is that the MNS political party is demanding Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan to replace Mahira Khan from Raees and Fawad Khan from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, otherwise they won’t allow them to release the films in India.

“If you want to send Fawad Khan, alright send him”.

“Ideally it should have been a situation of peace between the two countries. Now when this has happened, then obviously there will be reaction to this action”. In this day and age, I feel handling things with love and peace would have been better, especially for common people.

“They are artists. These are two different subjects”.
