Netflix, the streaming service reviving “Gilmore Girls” in November, is sponsoring the transformation of around 250 coffee shops Wednesday into pop-up Luke’s Diners across the country.
Fans of the show Gilmore Girls have something new to be excited about – though there’s still over a month until the premiere of new episodes on Netflix.
Luke’s Diner will be replicated throughout the US and Canada and serving up free 12-ounce cups of coffee – the favorite beverage of the show’s leading ladies Lorelei and Rory, played by Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel.
Whether you’re a Gilmore Girls fan or a coffee lover, on Wednesday, you’re in for a treat. For a list of all locations participating, visit here.
Participating Houston coffee shops are Honeymoon (300 Main), Bosta (1801 Binz) and The Nook Café (4701 Calhoun, at the University of Houston).
We’ve emailed our friends at the United Kingdom branch of Stars Hollow to find out whether such a cool thing might wend its way to Britain and Northern Ireland, and we’ll report back as soon as we hear anything.
A little piece of Stars Hollow, the fictional CT town featured in “Gilmore Girls“, will come to Knoxville Wednesday morning.
“The Gilmore Girls” ended on a low note, but thanks to Netflix and creator Amy Sherman-Palladino, the show is getting another chance at a good ending.
If you loved Gilmore Girls, and you terribly miss the lives of Lorelei and Rory, you’re in luck, the show is returning to Netflix for four episodes. Don’t worry, you can still get a free cup of coffee.
While the pot is full, guests can get a free cup of coffee between 7 a.m. -noon.
