Cardinals’ slide continues with 17-13 loss to Rams

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. • With a powerful defense leading an offense that’s doing just enough to win, the Los Angeles Rams are off to a 3-1 start in their homecoming season.

Brain Quick had a career type game, scoring on a 65 yard pass in the first and then again on a back shoulder fade late in the fourth for the Rams only scores of the game.

The Arizona Cardinals (1-2) lost to the Buffalo Bills, 33-18, last week in which Carson Palmer threw for 287 yards and four interceptions in 26-for-50 passes.

The Arizona Cardinals found ways to win games last season, riding their close-it-out ability all the way to the NFC Championship game.

The Rams’ defense recorded six quarterback hits, three sacks – one of which gave Palmer a concussion that took him out of the game midway through the fourth quarter – and four tackles for loss. The Cardinals and 49ers are tied for last place in the NFC West, and the loser will be in what appears to be an insurmountable 1-4 hole and likely no playoffs in sight. The Rams were the first team to find the endzone in the game. “I don’t want it to be predetermined or for them to predict where I am, so we changed up the look a little bit”. This team has all of the important pieces that managed to go 13-3 previous year. He had eight catches in the first three games. When he re-signed with the Rams (3-1) on a one-year contract this offseason, it was widely regarded as a prove-it deal. Michael Floyd has been woeful in a contract year, while John Brown finally had a good game Sunday, joining Larry Fitzgerald in the realm of productivity. Yesterday, he logged five catches for 62 yards. The Rams would just as quickly match the Cardinals big play with one of their own. He has averaged over 17 points a week and is facing a Rams defense that has been surprisingly susceptible to the run.

“I have to look at the film, but I feel like we were winning”, Golden said.

“It’s not really showing somebody else, it’s proving to ourselves that we can go out there and play with anybody”, Rams linebacker Alec Ogletree said.

Instead of handing the ball to Gurley, who finished with the third-most yards in the National Football League last season, the Rams threw it to him out of the backfield, and the Cardinals swarmed Gurley for a four-yard loss.

Fisher said Keenum and Goff root for each other.

“When you”™re on the road and you”™re playing in a tough environment and you”™re playing from behind, it can go south real quick and it did on us,” Palmer said during a conference call. In the 37-32 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, there were two from Robert Quinn, a forced fumble that led to a 77-yard score and a game-ending tackle of Jameis Winston.

Statistically, Case Keenum was 18/30 for 266 yards passing with two touchdowns and no interceptions.

The Arizona Cardinals are expected to make a more formal update on Carson Palmer’s injury on Monday, but with the short week, it may not be a good outlook for the quarterback to play on Thursday.

I reckon I can’t think of anything else right now, I’ll try and get back to you later. Gurley did catch five balls for 48 yards, so the Rams managed to use their halfback despite the defense putting extra men in the box.

The Arizona Cardinals are broken, and it’s hard to see how they’ll get right this year.

Arizona backup Drew Stanton was intercepted twice in the final minutes, including on a Hail Mary on the game’s final play.

Sunday the LA Rams were back in the Valley of the Sun looking to intensify an already aggressive divisional rivalry
