Verizon is ruining the one good thing about Google’s Pixel

October 08 23:00 2016

While we cant tell how quickly Verizon plans to put out major updates for the upcoming Pixel phones, if you want to avoid Verizon holding updates hostage, you can totally pre-order the unlocked version from the Google Store, as it works with all major carriers in the United States, including Verizon.

The brand new Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones are finally official and available now for pre-order. And on the heels of Pixel launch, many outlets have reported that the capabilities of Google’s cameras are well-matched to that of the Galaxy S7 and the new iPhone 7. Though, the flagship announcement was about the first smart phone totally manufactured by Google, inside and outside, the hardware event however, did not mention anything related to the Pixel featuring Nougat 7.1.

One of the very key aspects of a Nexus device, one which made the line attractive to tech enthusiasts, was the clean, “purely Google” experience that came with it.

Google Home: It’s the new voice-activated speaker that connects to your Google account. The camera, which has HDR+ technology, received a score of 89 from camera reviewers, DxOMark, earning the highest score ever. The second option is to buy Pixel from Best buy, which has Verizon Communications (NYSE:VZ)’s Pixel model and you can buy locked Pixel model and put it under Verizon’s contract. Verizon, which has a carrier exclusive on the phones, will invest its own money in TV ads, internet marketing, social media, and more. Honestly we didn’t expect to see any discounts, with them having exclusive access to the phone, but we received one.

Despite a lot of reports suggesting that by releasing Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL, Google has taken the competition up to Apple, it will be unjust to say that Google is trying to make an anti-iPhone.

The following news is important for current Nexus owners, so listen up.

Last year, in the wake of the Stagefright bug, Google announced that it would roll out monthly security updates for Nexus devices. So this is a great opportunity to try both without spending the extra $80.

Also coming with the Daydream View is a controller designed for VR.
