Hillary Clinton takes commanding double-digit lead over Donald Trump

The New York Times published interviews with one woman, Jessica Leeds, who said Trump grabbed her breasts and tried to put his hand up her skirt during a flight three decades ago.

Melania released a statement after the revelations in support of Mr Trump in an effort to deflect attention back to what their campaign has pushed as the merits of his leadership bid. Those close to Trump suggested it was “open season” on every detractor, regardless of party.

That approach raises questions about the future direction of the Republican Party.

Plenty of journalists are investigating Trump’s record because he’s a candidate for the nation’s highest office, not because they want Clinton to win.

He has apologised for him comments, dismissing them as “locker room talk”.
