Confident Clinton expanding her campaign into ‘red’ states

Trump is referring to Clinton’s use of a private email system while serving as secretary of state.

Clinton appears increasingly aware that if she wins, she’d arrive at the White House facing more than the usual political divides.

Should the Republican fall short in Pennsylvania, he would need to post victories in both Florida and OH, as well as several other battlegrounds – North Carolina, Virginia, Nevada and New Hampshire among them – to reach 270.

Campaign manager Robby Mook told reporters on a conference call that they’re focusing on a “coordinated campaign” to not only put Hillary Clinton in the White House but to put congressional Democrats in the best position to push her agenda.

Anger and hostility were the most overwhelming sentiments at a Trump rally’s around the country last week, a deep sense of frustration, an us-versus-them mentality, and a belief that they are part of an unstoppable and underestimated movement. “John McCain” have made Arizona even more competitive, and a win there would definitively seal off any path Trump may have to his needed electoral votes. Recent polls show a dead heat in that state, and the Clinton campaign believes Donald Trump’s rhetoric about Mexicans will motivate Latinos in the state to turn out for the Democrats. Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders is making two stops in the state on Tuesday and Chelsea Clinton will campaign for her mother there on Wednesday. The campaign is investing $2 million there in TV ads and other voter outreach.

The campaign will end $6 million into Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania, Nevada, North Carolina, Iowa and New Hampshire and $1 million in Indiana & Missouri.

It isn’t. Some people in Trump’s party have focused on the purported threat of voter fraud as a way to tighten restrictions on the ability to vote, restrictions that often make it harder for Democrats to get to the polls.

Trump pushed back against those women Monday, tweeting: “Can’t believe these totally phoney stories, 100% made up by women (many already proven false) and pushed big time by press, have impact!” It’s more important to him to look like a victor than it is that his supporters have confidence in the way we choose our leaders – a confidence, mind you, that is deserved.

Trump unleashed a litany of complaints recently about the nation’s election system, and also blamed the media for his woes, raising concerns about possible unrest should he lose. The team is pouring more than $US2 million into advertising and dispatching perhaps her most potent surrogate, Michelle Obama, for a rally in Phoenix on Thursday (local time). Independent candidate Evan McMullin, a conservative former Central Intelligence Agency agent who is Mormon, is pulling support on the right.

While the billionaire businessman had planted the idea earlier in the campaign, he has since sharpened his rhetoric as opinion polls show him slipping.

She wrote an op-ed Sunday detailing how reporters, editors and even paper delivery people were receiving death threats since the endorsement, with at least one caller reportedly mentioning an investigative reporter for the paper who was assassinated by a auto bomb 40 years ago. The state’s sizable African-American and growing Latino populations could keep the margins closer than Republicans would like, but a Clinton victory in Georgia would signal a monumental landslide. “Trump is leading by 14 points among men; Secretary Clinton up 12 points among women”, Brown said.

In swing states, Trump continues to struggle.

These results will have a greater effect in 2016, as a large number of people are expected to cast votes early. Even with her advantage in the polls, her campaign to trounce Trump will be through a rocky path. This is her highest level of support of the general election cycle.

When he talks about a rigged election, he’s not talking about the fact that it’s to be rigged at the polls.
