Pixel comes with Google Assistant built in, which came most in handy with asking for directions (“OK Google, where is the ferry landing?”), setting reminders (“OK Google, remind me to order groceries for home before my flight.”), and checking flights (“OK Google, what time is my flight?”).
In the wake of overwhelmingly positive press for Google’s new Pixel and Pixel XL phones, Alphabet’s stock price has hit a record high.
Well Google is finally ready to do what Apple has been doing since day one, it is ready to control both end sides of the coin. Chances are you might want to get a Pixel phone for these supported features? The Pixel smartphone has a 5-inch screen while the XL has 5.5-inch screen but both phones slightly resemble the iPhone. Alternatively, for just £5 per month more, you can get Pixel and Pixel XL on 4GEE Max plans giving you access to the UK’s fastest 4G speeds, and inclusive access to the BT Sport App for the duration of the plan. By nearly every metric I can think of – speed, power, camera, smart assistant, you name it – it matches or exceeds the best phones available on the market today. But a lot goes into making a phone worth buying. According to Wired, Google Pixel is a bit better than iPhone.
The Pixel and Pixel XL will be priced starting at $650 and $770 respectively. Assistant waits for you to ask. It’s similar to the iPhone’s 3D Touch. You also can’t expand its storage with a memory card, as you can with the S7 and Note 7 though for $100 more, the Pixel’s 32 gigabytes of storage quadruples to 128 gigabytes, and the free online storage should take care of your photos and videos.
Besides allowing you to play trivia games, Google Assistant can be used for identifying a photo of a monument or an important building that appears on social media, from its database of images. Instead, Google offers two models: 32GB and 128GB of storage.
All three phones are powerhouses when in comes to their camera and processing capabilities and does not have much difference in price. It’s a puck-shaped router that you buy a few of, scatter throughout your house, and enjoy flawless wireless signal forever after as they intelligently switch your signal up.
