Early voting starts Monday for Texas

To be eligible to vote you must be a US citizen, 18 years old by election day and living in the county that matches your registration.

In this contentious election cycle, it is hard to see if the numbers will go up or down because some voters are apathetic about the two major party candidates.

According to Lee Elections Supervisor Veronica Johnson, the opening week of early voting saw a significant turnout as 1,704 of the county’s 17,800 registered voters cast early ballots by the close of business Friday.
