Ravens Defeated by Giants for Third Straight Loss

Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. had himself a monster game, and he celebrated accordingly. Here is what we learned from New York’s 27-23 victory over the Ravens. Baltimore drove as deep as the Giants’ 24-yard line, but was unable to score.

Justin Tucker remained flawless on the season, hitting field goals from 23, 39 and 35 yards, and Sam Koch (47.8 avg.) had one of his better games of the year, pinning the Giants inside their 15-yard line on two of his five punts. After the Ravens took a 13-10 lead on a Justin Tucker field goal late in the third quarter, Manning connected with Beckham for the pair’s first of two long touchdowns of the day, a 75-yard jaunt.

New York Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins (20) defends Baltimore Ravens’ Mike Wallace (17) during the second half of an NFL football game Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016, in East Rutherford, N.J.

“Whatever it is, it was bad. There’s no more to say than penalties, that’s what’s killing us”. “It was bothering me all game”, Beckham said.

“Listen man, to sit back as a player and just watch that, it’s awesome man”. I prayed for strength.

“We get down there in a good position and we go backward instead of forward so it definitely hurts”, said Joe Flacco, who threw for 307 yards.

After the touchdown, Beckham proposed to the kicking net on the Giants’ sideline. “So I’m not going to go that insane over the helmet thing, if that’s all it was”. We were able to get to a couple plays that we’ve kind of had on the shelf for a few weeks, we just never quite got the looks that we wanted to get to them.

The Ravens had three backups on the offensive line (John Urschel, James Hurst and Ryan Jensen) against the Giants, but Harbaugh commended the group for how it played.

“Yeah, that was fun”, Manning said. He celebrated the first with a half-hour-long demonstration which, strangely enough, didn’t draw a flag even though the National Football League levies penalties for other players who sigh too loudly. Today, we got some of those and converted on them.

“We all know this guy, as you see, turns a … play created to go nowhere into a game-winning touchdown”, Francesa said.

On Sunday, New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. showed the world what made him a household name in the first place after recording eight catches for 222 yards and two touchdowns in a 27-23 victory over the Baltimore Ravens. Cornerback Jimmy Smith left the game with a concussion, helping to set the stage for Beckham’s second-half fireworks.

“Hey, Odell made some incredible plays out there”, Ravens All-Pro safety Eric Weddle said after the game in the opposing locker room. We won four preseason games, we won our first three games. “We’ll know more when we go to hit the field with him”.

“Guys just got to step up”, he said.

But even the team’s most cerebral players have been making ill-timed mistakes in the red zone.

– No player had caught two 60-yard TDs in the second half since the Browns’ Eric Metcalf burned the Raiders in 1992.

This was vintage Beckham. Both those guys had exactly 204 yards in a game in which the Giants scored exactly 44 points.

“Two-hundred, twenty-two yards! You tell me”, Cruz said. “Absolutely. That’s what he does”.
