Windows 10 will bring 3-D to 2-D experiences

The Surface Studio is available for preorder now and ships in December 2016.

Surface Dial is a new peripheral designed for the creative process. Featuring a 28-inch PixelSense touch display that can tilt to resemble a drafting board, the Surfance Studio targets “creatives”, a market traditionally dominated by Apple.

The Surface Studio is created to effortlessly adjust at each stage of the creative process, it features a 20-degree angle studio mode that makes it ideal for use as a drafting board, for sketching, writing and designing. Besides Paint 3D, the company announced the launch of a new VR headset for windows, a new Surface book, and a new Surface desktop, called Mircosoft Surface Studio.

Surface Studio starts at $2,999 estimated retail price Dollars.

Microsoft is expanding its Surface computer range with its first desktop model, the Surface Studio.

The new tools, part of a free “Creators Update” to Windows 10 early next year, promise to make it easy for people to create and share photos, drawing and other images in 3D. NVIDIA says that GTX 965M delivers up to 16 hours of battery life and performance, that is double than the current Surface Book. The same is true of the 1TB / Intel Core i7 – 16GB RAM / 2GB GPU ($3,499) and 2TB / Intel Core i7 – 32GB RAM / 4GB GPU ($4,199) models.

Pricing is set at a considerably steeper $2399.

Besides, Microsoft has also introduced a new disk device called Dial which attaches to the screen and offers additional controls such as viewing the timeline of a creation.

Microsoft, as previously expected starts rolling out the upgraded version of its Window 10 and announces it with clusters of improvements and additions. Partners such as Lenovo Group, HP Inc., Dell, Asustek Computer Inc. and Acer Computer International will create virtual reality goggles for use with Windows 10, Microsoft said.

Microsoft has just held a glitzy event in NY to introduce a number of new products, but there was only one star of the show – the Surface Studio.
