Durant tries to downplay reunion with OKC

But despite the apparent tension with Russell Westbrook, Durant still insists that he and his former team-mate are still “brothers” on rival teams.

The Los Angeles Clippers and Oklahoma City Thunder will do battle today as the only two undefeated sides left in the Western Conference and the chance to keep that streak alive.

Russel Westbrook is a man on a mission this season, as he has been voted to be the Western conference player of the week in the first week of the National Basketball Association 2016/2017 season. Each move by Durant and Westbrook will be examined for a national TV audience: Will they shake hands? When Westbrook’s game is off, his propensity for volume shooting can lead to some thoroughly ugly stat lines and even on his best nights, he often commits unforced turnovers, nearly as if the ball can’t quit keep up with him.

To start the season, Durant is averaging 28.5 points, four assists and nine rebounds.

Then the next question was about his high profile matchup with Durant at Oracle Arena on Thursday night.

The Warriors, meanwhile, are coming of a road game win over the Portland Trailblazers on Tuesday night, ending the contest with a final tally of 127-104.
