Clinton’s lead skyrocketed in several national polls after the release of a video in which Trump could be heard making sexually aggressive comments about how he treats women, followed by an onslaught of sexual misconduct allegations levied against Trump that seemed to only further diminish his chances.

Her team also sees opportunities in North Carolina, a state that voted for president Barack Obama in 2008 before going Republican four years later.
