Premier League Head-to-Head: Llorente (Swansea) vs Ibrahimovic

Paul Scholes has urged fans to give Jose Mourinho more time at Manchester United. “At the start it was like they were playing the Champions League final and we were playing a summer friendly”.

“So this is new (experience) for me, for a lot of the players here also“. I told Manchester United’s board that.

Schweinsteiger had previously been training with the Under-23s, but rejoined the first team squad on Monday.

It is very early in Mourinho’s tenure but 10 matches into the Premier League season they are already seven points off the top-four – a gap they will look to close before the worldwide break this Sunday at Swansea.

Mourinho accused his players of treating the Fenerbahce loss like a pre-season friendly and believed they were not “mentally prepared”, “not focused” and “not concentrated”.

Mourinho was asked about his decision to end Schweinsteiger’s exile earlier this week, to which he replied: “It’s a decision based on the fact that we are in a period of the season where it’s really hard to train with everyone together”.

Manchester United failed to win in the Premier League last month and begin November with a trip to Swansea on the back of a midweek Europa League defeat.

Wayne Rooney is determined to stay at Manchester United until his contract ends in summer 2019 despite losing his place in the first team.

The American is aware that “every game is critical” for the Welsh outfit considering the position they find themselves in and he wants to see his side start to try and dig themselves out of trouble now, rather than later.

According to United Kingdom media outlet, The Mirror, the Dutchman has not impressed in Jose Mourinho’s recent training sessions, leading to some team-mates showing their surprise that he even came on as a substitute in Saturday’s draw against Burnley.

He said: “I’ve talked to [Mourinho] on the phone and traded some messages with him in the a year ago”. It goes with the territory and the bigger the club, the bigger the spotlight.

Mourinho will certainly have a good seat to evaluate his team in Swansea, after being banned from the touchline for two separate offenses toward referees.
