That’s why the party registration breakdown of early voters generally matches the registration of all people who eventually cast a ballot in the state.

At least 41 million Americans across 48 states have cast ballots, according to an Associated Press analysis.

Democrats begin with an advantage in the hunt for the 270 Electoral College votes required to win.

U.S. presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump entered the final stretch of a bitter campaign, with each candidate attacking the other as unfit to be president in a late push for votes in battleground states that could decide the outcome in Tuesday’s election.

If Clinton and Trump win an equal share of their respective party’s voters, it will be hard for Trump to win the state.

In 2008, Obama depicted himself as an agent of hope and change: He ran against Washington, the establishment and special interests.

Respected election forecaster Nate Silver, of FiveThirtyEight.com, has Clinton as a two-to-one favorite against Trump, but said her electoral vote lead appears “less solid” than Obama’s did in 2012.

A man claiming to be the protester later told The Guardian and Reno Gazette-Journal that he was carrying a sign that read “Republicans against Trump” when he was attacked. The polls could be off across the board.

Obama is on an electioneering blitz for the last few days, crisscrossing some of the key battleground States including Florida, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and New Hampshire.

Hillary Clinton dispatched musical and political celebrities across battleground states Friday to try to energize Democrats in what’s become an increasingly competitive race. Remember, though, it’s possible that the polls could be off by that much in a relatively close state such as MI or Pennsylvania in the other direction.

Of all of these states, the only one where Trump has really been close in the polls is Nevada.

Even so, he’ll still need to win one of these blue states to win the presidency. The president won both counties in 2012 with significant help from both black and Hispanic voters, two constituencies that the president was aiming to mobilize on Sunday. He started his day in Atkinson, New Hampshire, population 6,800 and nearly 98 percent white, according to the Census Bureau.

When the McClatchy-Marist poll last reported these results in September, Clinton was ahead of Trump by 6 points among likely voters nationally.

While seeking victories in the so-called battleground states, which have a mix of voters who could go for either major party candidate, Pennsylvania is considered critical for Trump.

But like many other Americans, Trump’s business side is a strong selling point for David.

The race will come down to whether Trump can energize his smaller but fervent supporters against Clinton’s larger Democratic electorate who polls show aren’t as enthused about the former USA senator from NY.

Yet “her position as the clear front-runner in this race endures”, Sabato said.

As he did with his other visits in the Keystone State, Trump focused heavily on jobs. It has a large population of white working-class Democrats, just as Iowa does, and Trump is running well in Iowa. Indiana Gov. Mike Pence told a crowd of hundreds in Holland, Michigan, on Saturday that Trump would push “common-sense conservative principles” if elected president.

Thanks to early voting, more than 50 million people may have voted before Election Day. Five per cent of those surveyed said they support Libertarian Gary Johnson, and 2 per cent said they support the Green Party’s Jill Stein, the poll revealed on Friday.

Arizona, Colorado and ME were deciding whether to raise the minimum wage to $12 by 2020; Washington state is considering $13.50. The demographics and polling are both tough for Trump.

But Kyle Kondik, a political analyst at the University of Virginia who edits a leading political newsletter, said it’s unlikely the latest Federal Bureau of Investigation disclosures are changing many voters’ minds and it’s not unusual for polls to tighten in the race’s final days.

But exit polls tend to undercount the number of less educated voters, and the national exit polls obscured Obama’s strength among white voters in the North.

Virginia is like Colorado: Neither polls nor demographics seem promising for Trump.

Melania Trump’s appearance at the North Carolina rally came as The Associated Press revealed more details about her early employment in the U.S.

Then there are states like Minnesota and New Mexico. She planned to campaign with Cavaliers star LeBron James in Cleveland, and rally voters in Manchester with Khizr Khan, the Gold Star father whose indictment of Trump delivered emotional high point for Democrats.

In spite of a close race in national polling, Trump’s path to victory remains narrow.

Clinton still appears to hold an edge over Trump in the campaign’s final stretch.

The election takes place Tuesday night United Kingdom time, with a result expected late Wednesday morning.
