Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton ended their marathon presidential campaigns with help from their superstar friends in the hours before the polling boothes opened Tuesday.
Mrs Clinton began by lamenting the dark tone of much of the campaign. It has eagerly obliged to requests from the Democrat’s operation to put the term-limited president’s star power to use.

“We have got to continue to take on the problem of systemic racism, to rid ourselves of deep-rooted injustice, hatred, and fear”.
“I’m pretty sure as they said tonight, that the best way to thank them is to do something really important tomorrow – to vote”, Clinton said. The final day she hit four rallies in three states, starting early in the morning.
“This election is on us”. If we win Florida, it’s a wrap.
After days of attacks on Trump’s qualifications and temperament, Clinton cast herself as the candidate of “healing and reconciliation”, perhaps a surprising position for one of the most divisive figures in American politics.
Both the Clinton and Trump campaigns held events in New Hampshire on the last day before the elections. Clinton was never going to lose Philadelphia to a Republican.

Proud of his legacy and aware of the need to elect a Democrat to defend it, Obama has poured himself in his role as campaigner-in-chief, which has also provided him a victory lap. ‘We’re feeling confident that we’re still in an excellent shape to do that’. After the Philadelphia speech she traveled to Raleigh, North Carolina, for a midnight rally before heading back to NY where she will spend Election Day.
“Tomorrow, Philadelphia“, President Obama said, “the choice you make when you step into that voting booth, the choice you make could not be more serious”.
Trump’s chances rest with his performance in Florida, Michigan, North Carolina and OH, which were too close to call on Sunday, when polling ended, and Pennsylvania, where Clinton enjoyed a slim lead of three percentage points. Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) and current governor as well as New Hampshire senatorial candidate Maggie Hassan all delivered remarks before Obama addressed the crowd shortly before 5 p.m.
Eight years ago, that place was Grant Park in Chicago and that moment was Obama’s own election as America’s first black president.
