POTUS campaigns for Clinton just days before election in Kissimmee

Now, of course, national polls don’t tell the whole story because the country doesn’t hold a national election.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump arrives for a town hall, Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016, in Virginia Beach, Va. Here are live updates of the US elections.

Even as Hillary Clinton’s once-commanding lead dissipates in the polls, her advisors argue that early voting numbers show they have successfully built a “firewall” of minority voters in key swing states that Donald Trump won’t be able to get over. She has a 65 percent chance of winning in the FiveThirtyEight forecast. But the focus in the final days of the election is on state polls and the various combinations that get each candidate to the needed 270 electoral votes.

Trump is making one last stop in the Sunshine State later today with a rally in Sarasota, while the Clinton campaign is deploying Vice President Joe Biden to Tallahassee and St. Petersburg to make one last pitch.

The Financial Times (FT) predicts that Clinton will receive 221 electoral votes compared to Trump with 164.

“In that sense both candidates still need a good turnout on election day and still have their work cut out for them”, Silver said.

The number of Hispanic voters has gone up considerably in Florida, Nevada, and Arizona, according to The Washington Post.

“I’m anxious that Trump may win”, said retiree Nancy Dubs, 83, in Pittsburgh, who said she was voting for Mrs Clinton.

Meanwhile polling aggregates by tracker RealClearPolitics showed Clinton in the lead with 46.6 per cent to Trump’s 44.8 per cent.

OH remains a dead heat, and Mrs Clinton has a slight lead in Pennsylvania. The difference is within the poll’s margin of sampling error.

“This has never happened to a nominee of a major party”, Mrs Clinton said.

Obama then brought out the line he has been using on the campaign trail since the Democratic National Convention, “Don’t boo, vote!” Mrs Clinton could lose both states and still win.

Nationally, Ms Clinton has held her advantage in the opinion polls. It’s a gap that Trump can close on election day. However, supporters of the Libertarian and Green Parties generally switch to the Republican or Democratic nominee that best represents their views.
