Voter fraud needs to be far more widespread with the Electoral College, and this would require a larger and more organized effort to fraudulently change the results of an election. Boxer reminded her Republican colleagues that Donald Trump a “disaster for a democracy” in 2012. Trump, while winning numerous states by relatively narrow margins, won the Electoral College, 306-232.
Stein raised a staggering $9 million in donations for recounts in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and MI – the three states where Clinton was a favorite to win according to the polls.
Gary Johnson, the Libertarian Party’s nominee, took 4,442,771 votes.

Former Green Party presidential nominee, Dr. Jill Stein, also made an effort to revisit the election results by raising more than $6 million to fund recounts in swing states Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and MI.
Each state’s electoral votes are counted in a joint session of Congress on the 6th of January in the year following the meeting of the electors.
