Priyanka Chopra’s Action-Comedy Movie Baywatch Has a New Release Date

The movie comes from the director Seth Gordon who has previously made comedy films like Horrible Bosses, Identity Thief and Freakonomics. Now, it’s 2016, and as the internet age continues strongly on, we have a new Baywatch movie on our hands, the first trailer of which just premiered (via EW).

In the opening of the trailer, the “Baywatch” lifeguard team are seen running side by side in slow motion down the beach however, only four members are seen and Efron is not one of them.

The movie also stars Quantico’s Priyanka Chopra, Charlotte McKinney and Baywatch vet Pamela Anderson.

Ladies and gentlemen, the first Baywatch trailer has arrived and it serves it’s objective: seeing Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron shirtless! All we can see is a re-branding of the name “Baywatch“, packaged to come off as a cop-buddy movie.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will play lifeguard captain Mitch Buchannon, a role originated by David Hasselhoff. Namely, we’ll be watching Zac Efron, Kelly Rohrbach, Jon Bass, Alexandra Daddario, Ilfenesh Hadera, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Priyanka Chopra.

Four years after announcing a revamp of the beloved 1990s soap, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is stepping into David Hasselhoff’s swim shorts as veteran lifeguard Mitch Buchannon.
