Sources said Green wants to play, but it appears to be a team decision.

Thanks to a missed field goal, it will be an wonderful Christmas for the Houston Texans.

However, the Bengals are going to be missing their two biggest weapons on offense too.

Dalton finished with 268 yards passing with a touchdown and an interception.

Miller had said he would play against the Bengals, but his ankle continues to bother him and could sideline him for the first time this season. Christmas comes early and the Texans are heading to the playoffs with one game remaining in the season.

New England (13-2) took advantage of NY miscues all day, scoring on three of its first four possessions.

Then, next week, Cincinnati is set to take on the Baltimore Ravens.

Texans corner back A.J. Bouye had a feeling his old teammate wouldn’t come through.

Four plays, 75 yards, 2:04.

While Green should be able to reach that milestone, he could have a tough time trying to shake off the rust against a top-flight Houston secondary.

Marvin Lewis and most, if not all of his staff are expected to be brought back next year, so it’s not like they need to win this game to secure their jobs.

But for the second week in a row they drew flags in bunches, and it cost them.

Late in the third quarter, the Texans again got deep into Bengal territory thanks to penalties, and a 24-yard pass by Savage to Akeem Hunt on a wheel route put the ball at the Cincy 4.

The Bengals have won two of their last three games, but are out of postseason contention with a 5-8-1 record.

Houston would respond on the next drive to re-take the lead, but missed the extra point. Houston has the best overall defense in football in terms of total defense and playing at home, they should be charged up and ready to play.

The Bengals defense has regressed to 19th overall in yards and ranks 26th against the run.

This evening’s Saturday Night Football/Christmas Eve Night match-up features two AFC teams, one team from the AFC North and one team from the AFC South.

Defensive end Wallace Gilberry had 1.5 sacks, which were his first since Week 7 previous year at Pittsburgh.
