Reynolds was taken to the hospital earlier on Wednesday when it was believed she suffered a stroke.
Mia Farrow wrote: “Debbie Reynolds cd sing, dance & gave dazzling performances”.
Out of that marriage her true loves were born – her children, producer Todd Fisher, and author and beloved actress Carrie Fisher.
“Gene Kelly was hard on me, but I think he had to be”.
Photos of Reynolds with her daughter Fisher were widely shared. Show business families like this don’t come around all that often anymore, and I guess Debbie Reynolds just couldn’t stick around without her daughter Carrie Fisher here to keep her company.
This news comes after Fisher died Tuesday morning from what was described as a massive heart attack on Friday while on a flight from London to Los Angeles. “Beautiful, talented, devoted to her craft, she follows Carrie, dead days ago”.
Eric McCormack, who played Will in the show, added, “The combination of the loss of @carrieffisher & then her mom @DebbieReynolds1 is too much. Wild idea! What a concept”, Fisher says in the 1987 interview.
Reynolds married singer Eddie Fisher in 1955, and had two children, Carrie and Todd.
“There have been a few times when I’ve thought I was going to lose Carrie”, she told Winfrey.
Actor and director William Shatner called Reynolds “one of the last of Hollywood Royalty“, on Twitter. She was 60 years old.

But there was one role which you more than likely saw her in but never knew it was Debbie behind it. “I can’t imagine being 24 and having to do this and I’m 59”. “Rest with Carrie, Debbie“. Her granddaughter, actress Billie Lourd, accepted the statuette in her honor. “I mean, she’s had an fantastic life, and she’s someone to admire”. Over the past year she has received some of the industry’s highest honors, and leaves behind a lifetime of admirable, classic work. It made me different from other people, and I wanted to be the same.
