Fans still need to wait for the confirmation from the Apple Company whether the mouse and keyboard feature will appear.
Unlike the iPhone, the iPad doesn’t get regular yearly updates, which keeps Apple fanatics guessing on the timing. Interestingly enough, the new iPad will reportedly be positioned as the premium device in Apple’s soon to be refreshed iPad lineup. Apparently, this year may be the flawless time for the company to refresh its line of iPads. This is why an iPad “shakeup” is deemed long overdue.
According to the report, the 12.9-inch and 10-10.5-inch models will house Apple’s A10X chipset made by TSMC, while the 9.7-inch iPad will have an Apple A9 chip made by Samsung LSI.
If we follow the previous leaks, the next iPad may equip a pressure sensitive 3D Touch technology, which will deliver a smoother and functionality and productivity. Kuo was briefly a Digitimes analyst and one analysis on his predictions record by Philip Elmer-DeWitt, scored his accuracy at about 44%.

As for processing power, the 12.9in and 10-10.5in models would use the A10X chip, expected to be an upgraded version of the A10 chip that powers the iPhone 7. The latest rumours suggest that the iPad Pro 2 will come in three variants and is being said to be extremely powerful, outperforming the Microsoft Surface Pro 4.
The analyst also states in the report that a drop of 10 percent is expected in shipments in 2017- an approximate 35-37 million units.
“Kuo writes: “The new models will come in 12.9″, 10-10.5″ and 9.7” versions. He expects it to take up at least 50-60% of overall shipments of iPads.
Ming’s note has confirmed the inclusion of three iPads in the Apple 2017 lineup.
Kuo estimates that the new iPads will lessen the downtrend from 20 to 10 percent.
