Trump open to negotiating on ‘one China’ policy

If Moscow really meddled in the US presidential election through attempts to influence USA public opinion by staging cyber-attacks and producing fake news, however, it should be seen as a serious situation that could shake the very foundation of American democracy.

The revelations of close ties with Russian Federation come immediately after the Central Intelligence Agency warned that Russian Federation may hold more than one recording of compromising footage of Mr Trump, containing video and audio of a sexual nature, which could be used to blackmail him. I don’t know who Putin is.

At issue right now is a dossier on Trump which may or may not be true. This contact, the official alleges, included a phone call on December 29th, the day that President Obama expelled supposed Russian spies and sanctioned two Russian intelligence organizations. “Until we have established whether Trump and senior members of his team can be trusted, we’re going to hold back”, the source told the Times.

The president-elect is still set to visit Britain in late February, but he now plans to hold a summit with Russian Federation just weeks into his presidency – making Putin his first foreign engagement.

Trump and Putin’s seemingly mutual admiration comes after decades of strained relations between the two nations, and worries some in Congress. The attention the claims received, however, had much to do with Trump’s words and conduct. The report is unsubstantiated and unverifiable.

Trump’s performance at the press conference was the usual song-and-dance, missing only the hat and cane. If it is true, Trump is right to feel paranoid both about those in his inner-circle who might spill the beans on such a thing, and those in the intelligence community who would leak the details.

Trump has largely brushed off concerns about Russian Federation, refusing to embrace the US intelligence community’s reports blaming Russian Federation for cyber attacks ahead of the USA presidential election and speaking favorably of Putin.

But even for Trump’s team of Putin-lickin’ idiots, this seems like an extraordinarily blatant moment of sycophantism.

Meanwhile, across the Atlantic, thousands of US troops arrived in Europe this week, including 4,000 to be deployed in Poland, a move the U.S.is promoting as an indication of unequivocal support for NATO, as well a deterrent against Russian aggression in the region. Putin was head of the FSB at that time.

Russian Federation has repeatedly refuted the allegations of interference in Ukraine’s affairs, and has pointed out that Crimea held a popular referendum in which the vast majority of residents voted to rejoin Russian Federation. Since then, other wire services and several other media have published the story and are investigating further.
