The Jazz played Sacramento at home December 10 and didn’t have to play again until they welcomed in the Thunder on December 14.
The Golden State Warriors are in the midst of a telling stretch of games with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Oklahoma City Thunder and Houston Rockets in a five night stretch. Whenever that is, I don’t know when it’s going to be. Westbrook finished with 28 points, 15 rebounds and 13 assists. With the win, the Warriors improve to 36-6 on the season.
TURNING POINT: After a Jerami Grant jumper pulled the Thunder into a 63-63 tie with 7:55 left in the third quarter, the Warriors came back with an 8-0 in only 43 seconds, taking a 71-63 lead with 7:12 left in the quarter.
Wednesday morning – while wearing sandals with “Why Not?” splattered all over them after Oklahoma City completed morning shootaround – he was asked about Harden’s play, and offered platitudes about his former teammate. He ended up with 22 markers and nine rebounds while Victory Oladipo chipped in 20 points. He missed OKC’s next two games, at the L.A. Clippers and at Golden State.
The Thunder are a solid team who have exceeded expectations so far this season, but they are nowhere close to the class of the Warriors. The OKC Thunder on the other hand, are coming off a 120-98 beatdown at the hands of the LA Clippers to lose for the second time in their last three games.
In Sacramento Paul George scored 24 points, Jeff Teague had 22 points, 11 assists and seven rebounds, and IN used a big second half to beat the Kings. Warriors fans haven’t like Lebron for some time now but the flop felt ’round the world brought those feelings right back up to the surface and out of the water.
The collective Golden State effort squelched any chance of Westbrook’s making the fourth quarter dramatic.
It was Durant’s best performance of the season, shooting 13-16 and pulling down 12 rebounds. Mike D’Antoni has made his imprint on this Rockets team; giving James Harden the ball and surrounding him with three-point shooters has made them extremely hard to stop.
But commentators wondered aloud what might have been, when his team needed an enforcer on court against Golden State Warriors yesterday.
The Warriors ended up winning the game by a final score of 121-100.
