The best part of Resident Evil 7 is playing in virtual reality

The new Resident Evil 7 game will be arriving on the 24th of January while the new Nintendo Switch console will be arriving on the 3rd of March.

Kitchen debuted at E3 two years ago but we’re told that it wasn’t a test bed for the game, but rather a proof of concept for team Capcom.

But is Resident Evil VII a return to form? Its main character Ethan Winters is subjected on a journey looking for his missing wife and he was able to come across the odd Baker family thus the horrific journey commences.

The third one is located in the old ship behind a locked door on the opposite end of the area from where you get the fuse.

If you’re a veteran of the series, this will all feel very familiar to you, especially once you start finding key-specific doors, or locks with insanely freaky engineering.

Biohazard is nearly upon us – the game is out on January 24 – complete with the promise of a return to the series’ survival horror roots.

Since it’s such a drastic departure from the rest of the franchise, here’s a few things you should probably know before diving in. Ethan’s inexperience lends guns a weighty imprecision in the hands, and it makes for some tense moments as you try your best to pop off headshots while conserving precious ammunition. Continuing the game in its 2D mode, I was struck by how much sharper it looked at its full 1080p resolution on a 50-inch TV. It more offers each player the option to choose how little or much they would like to play. Luckily, by the time you have to face her, you have access to the M19 Handgun.

You can shoot off the limbs of standard Molded enemies to slow their progress, but we’d only recommend it in a pinch – again, aim for the head for the fastest way to take anything down.

There is no splash damage in the game, so feel free to fire Grenade Launcher rounds upclose or lay Remote Bombs at your feet if you need to. Early reviews themselves already indicate that the game is a certified hit, meaning Capcom may have done its mission. Appearing as lumps of black mold and meat, they’re not as inventive as the undersea monstrosities of Revelations, but a welcome break from a standard zombie-variation.

The best strategy to survive the boss fight with Mia is to keep your distance.

By contrast, the highest Metacritic score for Resident Evil 6 is 69 on PC (and in this writer’s opinion, that is far too high). However, chem fluid can also be combined with gunpowder to create ammunition.

Crafting is more meaningful than expected. What started life as a survival horror game with a focus on resource management and tension, gradually descended into increasingly outlandish action territory, alienating some fans of the original games in the process. Despite being linear and locking you into its plot, Resident Evil 7 boasts a fairly good gameplay length.

It is also the first numbered entry in the series that plays from a first person perspective.
