“My biggest fear is she’ll pull away the much-needed funds we need to do our jobs”, Bogey said.

Betsy DeVos sometimes found it hard to keep her composure during her grueling confirmation process as the nation’s new education secretary. Although the district – which received $2.3 million in federal grants this year – is mostly funded by the state, any decrease in federal funding would be harmful, he said. “And I think that we are going to make sure we do everything we can, and we feel 100% confident that she will be confirmed Monday night and be the next Secretary of Education”.
