Chelsea boss Antonio Conte broadens his horizons by visiting England’s coach

Following Jose Mourinho’s dismissal from the Chelsea helm in December 2015, not long after winning another Premier League title, there have been suggestions Conte needs to be wary as his team aim for the English crown.

Of course, the Italian insists that the Blues haven’t come this far to bottle the Premier League title, but should certainly remember there’s still 13 games left to play for this season.

Conte was asked about facing Manchester United at home in the FA Cup quarter-final on 13 March but he made it plain he had thoughts only for Swansea.

“I had both experiences, because in the first season with Juventus we didn’t play Europa League or Champions League”, he added. We won together – he is a really good player.

“We spoke about different aspects.in his case [he coaches] 30-35 players [which] is not easy because you have to face everybody”.

Swansea’s recent run represents a signficant turnaround under Paul Clement.

“For sure his career is great. We know the characteristics of Llorente, Sigurdsson, Fer, the whole team of Swansea, and we must pay great attention”.

We still think Conte will aim to take the lead early and consolidate, though, so Chelsea/Chelsea HT/FT is a good option here. Carroll looks a bargain at £4.5 million, and has already been a star performer, in particular in the win at Anfield against Liverpool.

Conte wore a sheepish smile when discussing whether there had been a bid.
