Nintendo Switch Won’t Have TV Support for All Games

In the case of VOEZ, developed by indie studio Flyhigh Works, the move makes sense – it’s a rhythm action game that exclusively makes use of the console’s touchscreen.

The Nintendo Switch is part traditional console, part handheld, and so far, all the system’s announced games will be playable both on your TV and on the go. The test was completed by the YouTube channel Family Gamer TV. However, if developers are allowed to release handheld mode only titles, then that muddles up the narrative quite a bit. But considering there isn’t a single game available for every platform (except maybe Bastion), this is probably as even a playing field as we’re going to get. People want to know what it is about this device that would make them choose it over the already established market leaders in gaming console.

Considering he’s working alongside Nintendo to promote the console his positive thoughts are hardly a surprise, but it’s still nice to see. Although the question still stands if some possible future games will restrict fans to playing the Switch while docked only.

Voez is a touch-sensitive rhythm game that was originally released on iOS and Android previous year. By requiring the game to be online at all times, the company hoped that constant checks on the software’s integrity will prevent attempts to pirate Super Mario Run.

Let’s be honest, Nintendo have been fairly opaque when it comes to what the Nintendo Switch does and doesn’t offer.
