ABC Announces Celebrity Lineup, Pairings for ‘Dancing With the Stars’

The announcement followed leaks about casting and pairings for “DWTS“.

What do Mr. T, Nancy Kerrigan and Simone Biles have in common?

David Ross and Lindsay Arnold. Rashad Jennings, who was released by the New York Giants in February, will dance with Emma Slater. Nancy, of course, is best known for being attacked at the US Figure Skating Championships back in 1994. But now he’s the first Major League Baseball player to compete on the athlete-dominated reality television show.

“Grandpa Rossy”, fresh off a World Series win for the Chicago Cubs, is dusting off his dancing shoes. Dancing with the Stars pairs professional dancers with celebrities to train and compete in ballroom dancing. Or is your money, maybe, on gymnast Simone Biles, who (dancing skills yet unseen) seems another sure thing. Nastia Liukin and Shawn Johnson made her DWTS debut in 2009 and 2015, respectively. “I love that. I’m really looking forward to it”, he told us. Also, the versatile Sasha Farber will be paired with Simon Biles.

In just a couple of weeks, “Dancing with the Stars” Season 24 is set to be back with a slew of new stars.

Actress-dancer Heather Morris of “Glee” with former champ Maks Chmerkovskiy. And unlike Amber, Heather has an extensive dance background.

Rashad Jennings, ranked one of the No. 1 National Football League safeties in 2015, will join the “Dancing With the Stars” cast along side Emma Slater.

Normani Kordei from Fifth Harmony and Val Chmerkovskiy. “I didn’t want him to write a book when he grows up and call it “Cuchi-Cuchi Dearest”. But make no mistake about it Fool!

Charo and Keo Motsepe – Charo’s an entertainment icon, but probably appears more to older viewers. She will be joined by fellow TV personality, Nick Viall, who is “The Bachelor” 2017. Some think it proves he only cares about fame and not finding a wife on The Bachelor.

Erika is going to look red-hot on that DWTS dancefloor.

Some of the people competing this season will be balancing parenthood and competing.

Chris Kattan: The “Saturday Night Live” veteran will be dancing with partner Witney Carson. For everyone else, we’re left wondering how the hell it’s already the 24th season of a show that debuted less than 12 years ago.
