Supporters of President Trump, most of whom were from out of town, started arriving around 1 p.m. after the By Any Means Necessary (BAMN) group had established a position on the west side of the park, beginning around 12:30 p.m., with megaphones, signs and a banner.
Organisers said rallies to support the President were planned in about 50 cities nationwide, including New York, Nashville, Tennessee, Austin, Texas, and Denver, Colorado. He’s delivered every promise that he swore he was going to do.
Rally officials said there was one protester outside the event, but they left shortly after it began. None of the injured was hospitalized.
Organizers said that about 400 people are expected to attend the “spirit of America rally“. Some speakers told the crowd that the media negatively portrays the president and the Republican Party.
One person was hit on the head in the melee and another one had teeth knocked out, White said, adding that police made one arrest. Those skirmishes were broken up by police without serious injury.
Near Mar-a-Lago, the Palm Beach Post reported that people on both sides exchanged profanity.
Trump supporters have held rallies in recent weeks to counter the numerous demonstrations against him.
“Maybe the millions of people who voted to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN should have their own rally”, Trump tweeted. On top of rallying for Trump, Worthington says it’s time for a divided country to come together. “It’s just all sad”.
The Star Tribune reports there were minor scuffles during the rally, which were diffused by other Tprotesters and police, who separated the two groups.
The opponents to Trump chanted “Out Of Berkeley” loudly. One held a sign reading: “I am not a Democrat anymore”. Gormlie said the event was peaceful and friendly.
In Miami, supporters continued a rally while sipping espressos outside a Cuban restaurant, the Miami Herald reported. About a dozen counter-protesters were also on hand. “That we support what it is that they are doing”. A local organizer, 61-year-old Patty Collins, of Indianapolis, said Trump’s critics “aren’t giving him a chance”.
“He was in office less than 24 hours”, the man told the crowd from stage.

“These people don’t want us to have our first amendment rights”. The vast majority of arrestees on Saturday were anti-Trump agitators.
Later some of the anti-Trump demonstrators briefly set a large American flag on fire.
“There has been a bunch of fights and pepper spraying and tear gassing and yeah, it just has gotten progressively worse as we met”, said Kiki Valenzuela, an anti-Trump protester.
