Struggling Warriors, Iguodala show signs of frustration

Criticizing officiating. Lamenting a tough portion of the schedule.

The Golden State Warriors later announced that Durant suffered a Grade 2 MCL sprain and a tibial bone bruise.

The Minnesota Timberwolves continue their playoff push with a win 103-102 over the Golden State Warriors Friday night.

Well, due to circumstances out of the league’s control, the Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs game on ABC Saturday night may in fact be one of the worst games on the NBA’s schedule this season.

According to ESPN.com, after Kerr made the announcement, Iguodala made a comment when he was asked if he knew before the Timberwolves’ game that he would be sitting out Saturday’s game.

“I didn’t say anything to anyone to be honest”, Brown said. But that wasn’t the only comment that sparked some angry online responses: Asked about what led to the loss, Iguodala said, “We gotta score more than the other team”. We just play. We always have. Figure it out. Change gonna come.

‘You take that shot that Steph got any day of the week, ‘ Thompson said. He said he spent most of that time contemplating whether he wanted to risk a $25,000 fine from the National Basketball Association for criticizing the officials.

“How I get a technical for trying to stop continuation?”

“I was right there”, Green said. “He has to answer that question, what he meant by that”. “Whether we get the one seed or not, it’s about us just playing better, finding a rhythm down the stretch of the season”, Curry said.

It was Green’s 12th technical foul this season. Kerr hasn’t really varied from that, but most of the Celtics game-deciding 15-0 run had come before Curry got back on the court, and when he did he couldn’t begin to reverse it by himself. “I don’t know. Different set of rules”. Though the league has eliminated four-games-in-five-nights scheduling, there remain plenty of three-in-four, as well as back-to-back games between cities in completely different regions.

Oh, and after Saturday’s game against the Spurs, who will still put up one hell of a fight without Kawhi? With Klay Thompson’s streaky shooting success and Durant’s double-digit contribution missing, Curry needs to rack up extra points from beyond the arc. Curry scored 26 points, but was just 10 for 27 from the field and 1 for 8 from 3-point range.

But the Warriors are living in the moment right now, and this moment called for a breather.

We need to give Boston credit here. It just didn’t happen.
