US President Donald Trump has made it clear he is unimpressed with the House Freedom Caucus after it failed to back his push to repeal and replace Obamacare.

Deepening a fissure that destroyed his first major effort to pass a law, Trump took aim at members of the so-called “Freedom Caucus”, branding them as a foe in the same vein as Democrats.

Tensions within the Republican Party escalated on Thursday when President Donald Trump started calling out individual Republican congressmen by name for standing in the way of his legislative agenda. No shame, Mr. Trump.

“Freedom Caucus stood with u when others ran. Remember who your real friends are”. “I don’t want government running health care. That’s such an easy one”.

“I don’t want us to become a factionalized majority”, Ryan said during his news conference on Tuesday.

When asked if the president can pass that agenda without the help of the Freedom Caucus, Spicer said, “Well, there’s two questions”.

Like Trump, Freedom Caucus members consider themselves anti-establishment, and many were strong supporters during the election.

Rep. Jim Jordan, a Freedom Caucus co-founder, declined to rise to the bait during his “America’s Newsroom” appearance.

Ryan was less bellicose in an interview with CBS News, but he also threatened to undercut the influence of the conservative rebels by telling them that the president would just go around them by teaming up with Democratic House members. He also backed the caucus on Twitter as well.

“These are strong, philosophical, constitutional conservatives who have done a lot, I think, over the years to pull the party toward a broader conservative agenda”, Hayes said. Bob Corker of Tennessee, further showcasing the GOP’s intraparty divisions.

The president tweeted Thursday evening, that if Reps.

Into the brewing battle stepped an unlikely would-be peacemaker: Texas Sen. The Republican attempt to repeal Obamacare is dead.
