Johnson, Statham, Theron eyed for ‘Fast and Furious’ spin-off

So far, The Fate of the Furious has made a whopping $772 million worldwide, most of which comes from China ($327 million). Johnson has been credited with revitalising the flagging franchise in Fast Five, and Statham’s career has bounced back since turning up in Furious 7 in 2015. Chris Morgan will write the script, as he has several of the sequels in the franchise. When we learn why he is aiding and abetting the enemy we are sympathetic, but we also know that the stoic hero will figure out a way to turn things around. This makes Dom build up a relationship with Letty.
