A White House foreign policy advisor said Friday the U.S. is assessing military options in response to the North’s weapons programmes, saying another provocative test was a question of “when” rather than “if”.

North Korea blames Trump for building up a “vicious cycle” of tensions in the region, Han told the Associated Press, citing the U.S.

Against all conventional wisdom, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un insists on poking the hornet’s nest.

The spokesman for Russian President Vladimir Putin called on the USA and North Korea to show restraint, not provoke each other, and instead seek a diplomatic resolution.

DPRK stands for the official name of North Korea, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

The North Korean military says the “drunken provocation of the Trump Administration has become a risky step that cannot be tolerated”.

Mr Trump has repeatedly said he will prevent Pyongyang from its goal of developing a nuclear-tipped ballistic missile capable of reaching mainland US. -South Korean military exercise in the area, were deliberate provocations.

Those comments came hours after the USA military, apparently given wide freedoms by Trump, dropped “the mother of all bombs” on a suspected ISIS tunnel and cave complex in eastern Afghanistan. We’ll deal with it with our pre-emptive strike.

“We don’t think about other things, we just live in our belief that we will win as long as our Supreme Leader is with us”, Ho said, referring to Kim Jong Un.

This year’s celebrations of the anniversary, known as “Festival of the Sun”, came amid high tensions as Washington threatened to strike the East Asian country for its nuclear and missile tests.

You may also recall the recent response to the US and South Korea conducting drills with the USS Carl Vinson, a Navy supercarrier with nuclear capability, being involved.

“The U.S. missile attack against Syria is a clear and unforgivable act of aggression against a sovereign state, and we strongly condemn this”, an unnamed spokesman was quoted by the agency.

“If the United States comes with reckless military manoeuvres, then we will confront it with the DPRK’s pre-emptive strike”.

China quickly responded to the new jousting in the nuclear hotspot, saying there will be no victor in a war between the USA and North Korea.

“Our toughest counteraction against the USA and its vassal forces will be taken in such a merciless manner as not to allow the aggressors to survive”, North Korea’s official KCNA news agency quoted its military as saying in a statement on Friday.

Han told Tracy that North Korea does not want a war, and insisted his government was only responding to US threats. CBS News’ Ben Tracy asked Han, who replied, “Of course”.

China, North Korea’s sole major ally and neighbour, which nevertheless opposes its weapons programme, has called for talks to defuse the crisis. “No one can become a victor”.
