Spurs center Dedmon out sick for Game 4 vs. Grizzlies

The Memphis Grizzlies held on for a thrilling game-4 overtime win over the San Antonio Spurs, 110-108, Saturday, April 22, 2017, at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee. “It’s scary as hell watching (Leonard)”.

After a slow start that had them fall down into an early 10-point hole, Conley put his hands on the game an guided the Grizzlies into a superb second quarter. There were a few times in this game that it just seemed like he knew what he wanted to do, but once his body got the message from his brain, the opportunity to pass or drive was no longer there. A 7-footer known as the Bosnian Beast, Nurkic finished with two points and 11 rebounds. Vince Carter, who’s nearly twice Harrison’s age, continued to surprise, scoring 13 against the Spurs. Outside of a strong Game 2 performance going four-for-five from 3 hitting on 80 percent, Green has now had his third game going scoreless from 3.

The game was tied at halftime before Toronto slowly edged away in the second half, building a 10-point lead with 4 minutes left on Norman Powell’s 3-pointer.

There were plenty of doubters when the Grizzlies splashed out on a $US153 million ($A203 million), five-year deal to retain relatively unproven point guard Conley nine months ago. The first half followed the same M.O.as before, with the Spurs starting well enough before Memphis gained the momentum with an extended run between quarters and the Spurs barely recovering to keep it close at the half.
