Curry’s 30 lead Warriors to sweep after 121-95 win over Jazz

He’s coached now by fellow former Devil Quin Snyder and though the Jazz were eliminated Monday night by the Golden State Warriors in four games, Utah’s future is bright: the team won 51 games and has a very solid, very long core.

The Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers are 8-0 in the National Basketball Association playoffs, and a third straight Finals match is looking more likely than ever. He had a chance at potential tying 3-pointer in the final seconds of overtime, but was blocked from behind by Manu Ginobili. The Jazz had one of their worst shooting performances in the playoffs, shooting 37% from the field, including 30% from three.

Brown said before the game he hoped his team would get out to a fast start and the Warriors did exactly that. Curry delivered a 4-for-10 shooting from behind the arc while making all his eight free throws. He averaged 21.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game this season. With Joe Johnson and one-time champ Boris Diaw being the only players aside from Hill to go deep in the playoffs, the rest of the semifinal newbies struggled to enforce their league-best defense (more on that later) on the overwhelmingly powerful Warriors.

“We knew we kept getting better as a group”, Gobert said. You can’t really pick on him.

“I’m going to take some time off”, Hayward said.

Exum, the fifth overall pick in the 2014 National Basketball Association draft, played with the team his rookie year but missed his second year in the league with a torn ACL.

Alas, we go first to the most dominant team in the league. He can switch out on them.

Either way, the Warriors clearly smelled blood and attacked the Jazz on both ends the entire night. Outside of Hayward and Rudy Gobert, the Jazz simply didn’t show up to play this series.

Curry-famous for his abilities beyond the three-point line-converted four of his 10 three-point attempts in the contest. The Jazz were 18-15 during the regular season when Hill missed games.

“We went to Compass and said, ‘What billboard would you guys be willing to let us go up on?’ and we were shocked by the answer”, Stoker said.

“I thought teams would compete a little harder”, Green said after shootaround on Monday. In comparison, the Raptors fared far better, as they managed to spend a solid 26 minutes and four seconds on top of the Cavaliers on the scoreboard and lost a mere three of their four games by double digits.

Utah’s slow-paced offense couldn’t get anything going.

“We knew what the game plan was and executed that game plan”. “But what happened happened”. Curry and Klay Thompson started the game quickly, and the Warriors jumped out to a 39-17 lead after the first quarter.

This allowed Golden State to have a more balanced attack, which made them even tougher to beat. This team should be good for a decade or more.

The Utah Jazz won their first playoff series in seven years this postseason, but instead of good vibes heading into the offseason, there’s a sense of dread in Salt Lake City, as the franchise awaits word from Gordon Hayward about whether he’ll opt out of his contract this summer. “They’ve got each other’s backs”. Kevin Durant and Draymond Green each dropped 17 points, while Stephen Curry led the way with 22 of his own. Andre Iguodala scored 12 points while Ian Clark added eight points coming from the bench.

The Cavs and Warriors have cruised through the playoffs and for those who love the sport of basketball, there is a beauty to a team playing to its standard of excellence. And as the quarter winded down, Hayward was treated to chants of “Gor-don Hay-ward” as he left the game, and rightfully so. “Where can I help the most?” That’s our approach to every game. “It was a fight”. After the game Draymond stopped to give a fan an autograph.
