Down 2-1 going into the final 20 minutes, Nicklas Backstrom evened the contest less than three minutes into the third. It was hard to blame Anderson for a three-goal deficit after 40 minutes. Zuccarello sent the puck along the boards on the left side behind the Ottawa net and Grabner got it, came out and put in a wraparound before Anderson, who had gone to his right, could recover.

“They played well at home for their two games and we played at home for our two games and we’ve got a series”, Boucher said.
