Then, on Saturday, McCarthy’s Spicer returned to SNL in a hilarious 8-minute sketch that was viewed more than 6 million times on YouTube at the time of this writing. But quickly Spicer jumped from the bushes just outside the press room to reclaim his spot, pushing Sanders aside.
The press ask Huckabee if she can take over, and imply that President Trump is set to fire Spicer anyway.
“He wouldn’t do that”, McCarthy’s Spicer said. “Sarah’s out!” The topic inevitably turns to Comey’s firing.
“Trump is innocent”, McCarthy’s Spicer said.

President Trump’s surprise dismissal of Comey left the White House staff scrambling for hours to explain why.
This week’s Saturday Night Live host was Melissa McCarthy, who did not disappoint on her latest portrayal of President Trump’s Press Secretary Sean Spicer.
Spicey deflects angrily, saying “there is no Russian thing”. “The only Russian Federation things are my little dollies”.
However, Spicer soon fell into a disillusioned despair after a number of reporters asked him if he’d ever considered the possibility that Trump has been lying to him and feeding him dishonest information. The biggest and “most beautiful” doll, according to Spicer, held a likeness of Trump. “He wouldn’t do that, he’s my friend!”
“Yes”, Baldwin reply’s before grabbing McCarthy in a passionate kiss. After being asked about the recent rumors that Sanders might replace Spicer full-time, he drives his podium all the way to Trump Tower in NY, where he hopes to convince his “best friend” not to fire him.
“I did. I fired him because of Russia”, Trump told an incredulous Holt. McCarthy ends the sketch with the line, “I had a good run!” A doorman delivers a punchline that resonates for New Yorkers who know it very well: “He doesn’t come here anymore”.
The skit culminates in Spicer tracking President Trump (Alec Baldwin) down at a golf course to talk to him.
“Is this like “The Godfather” when you kiss me an no one sees me again?”
This weekend’s “Saturday Night Live” cold open went to Baldwin’s Donald Trump, interviewed by Michael Che’s Lester Holt – or as Trump called him, Jazzman, O.J., Kenan, and Tupac.
