Simone Biles was eliminated from Dancing With the Stars in a tearful and shocking Monday episode. The Olympic athlete delivered two flawless performances for a combined score of 80 out of 80, and then was shockingly eliminated. On Monday’s show, the stars recalled dramas from their past and Kordei shared how her mother had breast cancer and the family had to flee New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. It really is! Read on.
Farber assured her that she is doing great to make sure she would feel better.
“No, it’s OK”, replied Simone, who, to her credit, had a radiant smile. The show seemingly will be much like it’s counterpart, but with more adorable contestants. “I feel like I found out a lot about myself – not just “Gymnastics Simone” but ‘Normal Simone‘”. From perfection, to pure connection, Simone introduced us to a fiery dance persona named “Zoey” and it was awesome. And maybe campaigning to not vote for her biggest competition? Carrie Ann felt like Simone danced with her soul; and Len said there was nothing about the dance that he didn’t like.
Jennings comes from the NFL, which increases the pressure on him since football players have storied history on “DWTS”.
Bruno stops in to work on Rashad’s extremities.
For the finale, Jennings and partner Emma Slater promised excitement.
He also praised Rashad’s quiet confidence and the duo’s fearless partnering.
“We talked about freedom, you wanted to feel freedom”.
Normani and Val represented the challenges she has faced watching her mother relentlessly fight cancer as well as surviving the devastating Hurricane Katrina. He challenges them to do a “proper” Viennese waltz. “There was a couple negative comments out that we saw, but you know you just dismiss it”, Biles said. Would you like to see her take home another trophy for her collection? Her second dance is a jazz routine.
The audience was mostly quiet with very little applause.
It was something Biles admits that she and her mother were nervous about. She brings some lemons to rehearsal for David to, um, squeeze. Total: 70 out of 80 David has proved to be a good sport over and over again this season. Although David has shown vast progress, Simone has been consistently a better dancer. Doesn’t matter what I think though – the judges are all so proud, and those 10 paddles come flying out.
David and Lindsay are matched up with Julianne for their judges’ challenge, and apparently, Juls is obsessed with David’s butt.
“I thought it was us”, the former Major League Baseball star told PEOPLE backstage after the reality dance competition’s shocking elimination.
It’s Len’s world and we’re all just living in it. “I love that feel of it”, he praised, adding that Jennings had “beautiful fluidity despite a few amusing feet”. “You went all Tina Turner there”. And yes it was.
The shocking reveal occurred after Biles and Farber delivered two ideal dance performances, earning them a flawless combined score of 80 out of 80. Next week: the finals! The telecast starts at 8 p.m. ET.
