Britain raised its threat level from terrorism to “critical” after an emergency government meeting late Tuesday amid concerns that the 22-year-old Abedi may have accomplices who are planning another attack.

One of the forces that supports the GNA posted a picture on its Facebook page of Hashem Abedi after detaining him.

British counter-terrorism police have said they are making on average an arrest every day in connection with suspected terrorism.

Hashem Abedi, the younger brother of the man who bombed the Manchester Arena Monday, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of having links to the Islamic State, Reuters reported.

Police have named 22-year-old Salman Ramadan Abedi as the person suspected of carrying out the suicide attack at Manchester Arena on Monday evening.

Manchester bomber Salman Abedi once exhibited so much hostility to an anti-extremist preacher at his local mosque members feared he would become violent, The Guardian reports.

“But at the moment, all they have confirmed is that they did know about him, and as I say we will find out more when the operation is complete”.

He said the younger brother had travelled from London to Tripoli on April 16.

Rudd also expressed frustration with the US government, as news of Abedi’s identity was first revealed in the United States.

Greater Manchester Police confirmed the operation took place in a block of flats on Granby Row.

That specific information has been shared between United States and British intelligence services, the USA officials said, adding they now have “high confidence” the information is accurate.

But on Wednesday, father Ramadan Abedi denied his son was even linked to militants or the suicide bombing. The government said almost 1,000 soldiers were deployed instead of police to high-profile sites in London and elsewhere.

Britain’s Prime Minister Theresa May raisedi the country’s terror threat level from “severe” to “critical” Tuesday after law enforcement raided the home of the Abedi.

Police arrested three people in South Manchester on Wednesday, bringing the total number of arrests related to the attack to four.

Her husband was listed in critical condition while her children were treated for injuries.

“She thanked me and said she loved me and that was the last I heard from her”, her mother said.

Although the LIFG disbanded, Haroun said the father belongs to the Salafi Jihadi movement, the most extreme sect of Salafism and from which al-Qaeda and ISIS hail.

Officials said all those hospitalized had been identified.
